Create a Wi-Fi QR code that carries your network name and password. Generate and style a single code for free, without creating an account.
How to use it
Use the exact network name, including capital letters and spaces. Choose the matching security option and enter the password; select No password only for an open network.
Prefer a guest network over your private or staff network. Mark Hidden network only if that matches the router’s configuration. Anyone who can read the QR can recover the credentials.
Save the PNG or copy the SVG for a welcome card or sign. Test with a phone that is not already connected. Replace the printed code when the network name or password changes.
The password is stored inside the QR payload. Hiding the password as a picture does not make it secret. Only display the code where you would be comfortable sharing the same network credentials in plain text.
A guest Wi-Fi sign saves visitors from typing a long password. Keep a readable network name near the code so people know what they are joining. Use a separate code for each network, and remove old signs when credentials change.
Compatible phones can offer to join the encoded network. The phone’s operating system handles the connection and may require confirmation. This generator does not configure your router, create a network, or bypass its security settings.
Before you export
Rendering runs in your browser. Using the Generate action while signed in can sync encoded content to your ScanAtlas history and analytics. Use a signed-out session for credentials you do not want synced. The downloaded QR also contains the password.
You can change the router password, but the printed QR will still contain the old one. Generate and print a replacement code.
Support depends on the phone and network security configuration. The form supports WPA, WEP, and open-network payload options; always test on the devices your visitors use.
