Free QR code generator.

Make a static QR code for a website, contact card, Wi-Fi network, or plain text. Customize the design and export a single code for free, without signing in.

How to use it

QR code generator: a practical guide.

  1. Choose the content

Select Website, Wi-Fi, Contact card, or another content type. Enter the information you want someone to receive when they scan. For website codes, use the complete HTTPS address.

  2. Make it yours

Adjust the colors, pattern, corner shapes, and optional logo in the live preview. Keep a strong contrast between the dark modules and the background.

  3. Export and test

Download the PNG or copy the SVG into your design workflow. Scan the exported code on another device and test the final printed size before producing a batch.

Static QR codes, with no ScanAtlas redirect

The generated QR contains the content you enter. ScanAtlas does not replace your website address with a tracking redirect or require a subscription to keep a static code working. If the destination website closes or changes, its link can still stop working.

Choose a code for the job

Website codes work well for product information and menus. Wi-Fi codes share network credentials; contact codes carry a vCard. Text, email, SMS, phone, location, calendar, and GS1 Digital Link content are also available. The QR payload is fixed after export, so check every field before printing.

Design for the camera, not just the screen

Leave the clear margin around the code intact. Avoid pale foregrounds, busy backgrounds, and large logos that obscure the pattern. Longer content makes a denser code; keep a URL short when possible and print larger if a scan is unreliable.

Before you export

Questions about qr code generator.

Are colors and logos free?

Yes. All single-code content types, colors, shapes, gradients, and logo controls are free. Pro and Business add unlimited saved templates and batch creation.

Do these QR codes expire?

ScanAtlas does not impose an expiry on exported static QR codes. Their encoded content stays the same, but a linked page or a Wi-Fi password may change independently.

Can I edit a QR code after printing it?

You cannot change the content inside an already printed static code. For a website QR, you can update the page at the same address if you control that website. Otherwise generate and print a new code.
